Thought, Not Written

This.  Is not optimal.  I think I preferred the sand in the lungs.

Bossmen are going to yell.  Hope Grania finds someone else to continue her lessons soon.

I think I see it coming again.

At least I know I'm not crazy.

Amazon: Day 1

  • Aug. 18th, 2008 at 11:11 PM
Amazon Mystery
There is something about being in my family's traditional home that is...comforting. Karapiru, not Rao, though both are really quite equal in weight to me.

I do wish Logan would tell us if kids have a history of being possessed though. Fortunately, Soong and I made some modifications to the ritual to make sure that didn't happen. I didn't want to have to fumble our way through forcing a spirit out. I don't think anyone here knows exorcism particularly well. Regardless, we've raised Karapiru Estate, and now we need to see what we can find.

Time to do some exploring.

Welcome to the Jungle, Punk

Survival Packs: Check.
Family Blade: Check.
Personal Longsword: Check.
Machetes: Check.
Multiple Rune Sets: Check.

Eye of the Karapiru: Check.

Didn't think I'd ever have to pull that thing out of storage.

Also, bloody hell. Interns. I hope they can behave. I doubt Logan would appreciate it if they misbehaved and chopped their own fool heads off with the machetes.

Fishies

Amazon Mystery
An old acquaintance of mine sent me another of those ruddy fish pots. The dark wizard who created these things was a sick, sick man, I'll give him that much. Nasty stuff. Anyway, some of the department heads suggested I have people watch and assist where needed.

This whole senior trainee thing is going to take a bit of getting used to. Hopefully they picked a few ideas up from that whole thing. The goggles were an added plus this time around. Much better than the bloody sunglasses I enchanted briefly the last time. Won't have a headache and be seeing spots for a week.

I suppose experience is, overall, the best teacher after all.

Time for a seafood dinner.

Work

Good news: I'm no longer a kid.

Bad news: I became not a kid just in time for a departmental meeting. Got to see some of the newest trainees. A couple of them have the loudest bloody mouths on them. Particularly the trainee who seemed to think that as a first year trainee he had power over the populace. And I thought I could sometimes have a little bit of an ego.

Anyway, afterwards Grania bumped into me when I was messing around with that wand I picked up at a dig. Old wand that was a failed attempt at an amplification. Interesting design, but ultimately doomed to failure. Probably send it off to some museum once I finish my studies of it. Won't have much use otherwise.

ADVENTURE!

  • Jul. 21st, 2008 at 4:21 PM
Wacky
*written in big, clunky kid writing*

I need to find a way to Brazil!  There's an underwater castle to explore.  I want to be an adventurer when I grow up and see the world!

The boss is probably going to say I'm too inexperienced, but what does he know?  He's too young to know how to handle it!

Fiendfyre

Amazon Mystery
So, Easter, and I wanted a drink. That's what the numbers were telling me, anyway.

In reality they were leading me past a church that had bloody FIENDFYRE let loose in it by some dark wizards. French, by the sound of it, but I could just tell it was the language. I don't speak it.

The Drakes were there, and I was able to get James to provide me with exactly what I needed for cover to choke the dark magic off while they battled. Hope Jesus doesn't mind that I had to throw a sword through him to save that church. But it contained the fire and kept the place from burning completely to ashes.

They really seemed to be going after the Drakes though. Apparently they don't like those two very much. I'm not sure, however, to be pleased or insulted that they completely ignored me the entire time.

Undead In the Streets

If it's not vampires, it's undead shambling things with a crazy dark wizard.

I feel sorry for MAC, having to clean THAT mess up. Not like the statute wasn't already blown to bits and pieces. That woman just didn't give a damn.

Also, carving runes on kitchen knives works just as well as on stakes, if not better. Hope that woman ended up alright.

Soong will probably want a report, too.

I hate bone breaking curses. For the record.

Romania Hate

I wonder if anyone would complain if we just burned Romania off the map. All it seems to do is produce vampires.

I really hate that country. Well, okay. I really hate it's vampires. Close enough.

Sick of hospital beds now.

Ow. Bosta!

Bloody vampires. Got one of them, at least. Broom is out, not that the damn thing was ever much use to me. First things first. Need to get out of this mine shaft. Okay, so that's second. First is making sure all my joints are in place.

Bloody hell this is going to be a long walk. One simple little event to study.

I hate this country.
